They had MIRA booked, but the track cancell...Harley<br />They had MIRA booked, but the track cancelled because they thought it was too dangerous and didn't want blood on their hands. I...That really didn't look like any fun at all!<br />I'd be interested to know why they had to go to Pendine though: the programme said it was the only place long enough to get up to speed but the brief shot of the previous record attempt was clearly taken on tarmac. I seem to remember the MIRA testing track has a 2 mile straight, which would have made for a much more pleasant experience for Mr Martin but possibly not such good TV.
