I suspect for racing purposes Pete will turn the entire motor and 'box through 180 degrees with the head remaining in its current reversed position, thus avoiding any undue ingress of dirt, other riders or their steeds to the inlet side of things.
Last (and only time) i rode at Norfolk Arena i hit the barrier with the end of the bars on the straight so i plan to mount the bars front to back rather than accross the top yoke. Being already full of shit the ingress of dirt will not be an issue.
