Sundance Blast

Now, a standard Buell Blast couldn't pull the cock off a chocolate mouse, but some people make nice flat trackers out of them. Like the legendary Sundance crew from Japan.
It's got Springer's 9 on it, and we know Jay raced Sundance's Daytona Weapon Harley twin road racers at Speed Week. We'd have loved to have seen him on this.
Nice under engine mounts too.

  2. Didn't see this till nearly a year-and-a-half after the fact, but in case you're interested in seeing Jay riding that gold Blast Tracker (built in only 2 weeks before he arrived in Japan for this 2003 event called "Field of Dreams") and Sundance's remarkable Super XR1200, here's a little "diary" posted by one of the visitor/ participants :
(Sorry, Japanese-only, but click on the links at the bottom to see more pics.)

The approximate half-mile oval (together with a 200m shorttrack including a TT-style jump), such that it was, was built special for the event by the locals out of a disused rice paddy using little in the way of heavy equipment. Just a lot dirt and sweat. You know the line from the movie "Build it and they will come"? Well, they built it, got word out to Jay, and he and Judy hopped a plane over the big pond to Tokyo, and from there a 4-hour drive to the mountains of Nagano. In short: A fun couple of days. Jay managed to burn right through two new rear MAXXIS flattrack tires in the short time he did his demo laps. Simultaneous wheel spins and power wheelies. WHAT a show!

Here's some more shots of Jay and the Super XR and Blast Tracker at Field of Dreams. Be sure to click on the photos for bigger views, and on the links at the top of the page to see some of the other things Sundance has been up to.

    All the best,

    Li'l Adam (for Sundance)
