1950 BSA Goldstar ZB34GS Flat Tracker
This is a beautiful 1950 BSA Goldstar flat tracker.. This fabulous racer is from a large collection of vintage race bikes, it is very original, as raced, and has wonderful race history. This bike has won three AHRMA Flat Track Championships in Littleton Colorado
This Goldstar has the correct frame, the original Gas tank and Oil Tank. The engine, transmission and front end are all correct. The bike has Barnes quick change wheels and a Joe Hunt Magneto. This bike is ready to race as is, or would be a great candidate for an easy restoration to return it to its former glory.
yes lovely bike period piece, any chance of a vintage race in the shortrack series?
ReplyDeleteInteresting frame. See how the height has been added at the rear with those axle plates. Most of the goldie flat trackers I've seen have the double downtube rigid frames. not this one tho.
ReplyDeleteThe later frame is the bb 32 r as designed by Bill Nicholson in 1951 as a trials frame it was known as the rigid duplex frame, it existed as a works trials bike until it went into limierd production in 1953 and was raced at Daytona in !954 with twin (shooting star) engines and single (Goldie) engines. Bobby hill won on a twin and the first single was third, a month later the bikes had wide bars on them and were being raced at Ascot, Kenney Eggers won a road race at Willow Springs on his wide barred bike with road tyres, flattrackes were in production before the middle of 54 priced at about $147.00l
ReplyDeleteSorry about the awful spelling!!
ReplyDelete£4,526.33 someone got a nice bike to have fun on
