Roger Falasco a regular-joe race fan shares his happy track-side memories of the 70s and 80s in SB#7. It's such an honor to be given these personal photo albums to reproduce. My fave snap is this factory backed CX500 ridden by Mike Kidd.
Here's another. How many did they build? BP
That their is one swell lookin rice burner.
ReplyDeleteSB - an international following of the SB brand is very encourageing and a welcome reflection of the commitment applied by BP and GI. Do you think we could have a translation filter in the comments department. - On the CX - always a very promising motor, overlooked for years by the fact that it was stuck in such a shocking bike. MORE DEVELOPMENT !
ReplyDeleteLooks like you couldn't get a fag paper between engine and frame, nice
ReplyDeletewas this cap'n highsides inspiration?.
ReplyDeletelooks way better than the road bike!!.
Hurry up Mr Postman. I want my Sideburn #7 ASAP.
ReplyDeleteTo have the inspiration to turn a maggot motor sideways and build a bike like that is beyond compare. I believe it was a bit short on steam and the RS750 project was born from it.
ReplyDeleteIm sorry for my brash americana slang. what I meant was that is one fine looking Japanese racing engine. with all respect.
ReplyDelete747 - translation much appreciated - I had figured out the "rice-burner" pejorative but was struggling with "swell". I really should get to The States more often.
ReplyDeleteis that a cx500 motor sideways?!
