Dave Skooter Farm is my second favourite thing about UK Short Track (after the bikes) and, to repeat for the hundredth time, I probably wouldn't be racing if it wasn't for him. Anyway, he posted these great photos of himself, back when he was sponsored BMX rider from 1980-82, that have just resurfaced. Check Dave's blog. Full Frokkul Fiasco!>
More vintage BMX coming soon. G
Eat that tabletop Dave, is that a GT or a Torker Maxiflight frame your running there?
ReplyDeletethank you for my morning order of radness!
ReplyDeleteChorley Bombhole is a great name for a Crüe style hairmetal band.
ReplyDeleteChorley Bombhole? I went out with her for three weeks back in 1983. Much respect Dave SF, I never got beyond putting cowhorns on my Sun Snipe racer and performing tyre-wrecking skids.
ReplyDeleteHey Dr.Ogo
ReplyDeleteDon't remember which bike was which, it all blurs into one after all these years. In pretty quick succession I rode a Redline MX-II for Team Alans, then was on Team Robinson. When I quit racing in 1982,I rode both a Torker and even a Raleigh Aero-Burner (the nice cro-moly one)
We set up the FAULKNER BMX ARCHIVE on Facebook for these splendid pics and there is talk of an exhibition ,hopefully in the not too distant future.
my missus boys, were suitably impressed, wen i showed em these shots, they think ur rad dave!!.
ReplyDeleteme, im jus jealous!!!.
