Sideburn 8 Launch Party

Sideburn 8 goes to the printers in just over a week. We're having a little launch of it the week it's printed at a cafe in London we wanted to check out - Reilly Rocket. The cafe are supplying free tasty, hot beverages and cake (till they run out). We've never visited the place, but think it's pretty small. We'll be spilling outside.
The new mag, Full Lock T-shirts, new embroidered patches and Zombie sweatshirts will be for sale. Everyone who comes will get their own free A4 event poster, created by the mighty Chris Watson and, if they're made in time, new free stickers.
There's going to be a big prize for our favourite bike ridden to the event. It doesn't have to be the fanciest, or a street tracker or anything like that, just the one we like the most and we've got broad tastes. We'll judge it and give out prizes at 8.30, so if you clear off before you won't win. The prize is huge, so if you're in it to win it, bring a bungee net.
AND special guest, Travis 747 Rider from Colorado is going to be over. He's a hero. In fact, I've just decided, he's the judge.
Feel free to blog this poster to spread the word. A few riders have got in touch from London to say they've got a bike and no one to ride with. Hopefully they'll all meet here and ride happily ever after. G

  3. Sounds a good un.
If you want more grub afterwards, then you could roll upto nearby LMNT on Queensbridge Rd. Make sure you get a high table and check the bog artwork. Good food as well.

  8. I'll be leaving Bristol 3pm, riding up the M4, M25, then A3 to pick up a mate on his GS. It is a lot of boring Motorway, but have no choice. If Andy bombs out, I'll be dropping the M25/A3 leg and riding up the embankment straight into town. Black K5 GSX-R with Fat Bars.

    why not get off the M32 at junction 1 > Wapley > Tormarton > over M4 > Marshfield > A420 Chippenham > A4 Malborough > A4 Hungerford, then back on the M4 at Newbury bypass A34.
It will probably take you twice as long but its a great ride & not too busy at 3pm - & no Gatsos! (last time I rode that way)

  10. BP,

May well do that, and I'm leaving the M4 at J10, hooning round the roundabouts of Bracknell to Bagshot, then leaping on the M3 for the short dash to the M25 and A3.

  12. Planning to come up from Lightwater, still negotiating....
ORS they are re-doing the tarmac on the A322 from Bracknell to the M3 so might be worth avoiding....

  13. Mr 62,

Local guy says it is not too bad ATM, so might try it and surf the chippings. Or is it tarmac proper, cos when I lived in the area (Crowthorne 20 years ago) they just used chippings.... BTW, so excited about it, some wee came out earlier. I don't get out much and have not ridden in the schmoke for 20 years....

if you havent ridden in the smoke for 20 years then
KEEP OUT of the bus lanes unless signage says you can trespass (different boroughs have different rules). Big Brother is watching you. BP
