2 minutes in and Stevie Gee has already stabbed himself with a scalpel. He was obviously in pain but seemed to more worried about the blood on his Converse. Apart from a bloodied rollergurl thigh from a drag-race crash, there were no other injuries. It was destined to be an 'interesting' evening.
The bike show selection was great, but sadly I didn't have enough time to give each of them the licking - or even photographing they deserved. There's a ton of nice snaps HERE. BP
UPDATE: There are a bunch of videos from spectators posted/linked over at Sideburn Magazine facebook.
Maxwell Paternoster - the albino Ray Charles. "Newark, oh Newark, ah got Newark on mah mind."

ReplyDeleteAnyone know whose the bike on the right hand side (above the wilsons tank) is, or have anmore pics of it?
ReplyDeleteSaw it arrive and thought it was simply ace
Pretty sure that was one of Sonic Seb's Paris crew. Seb's was the Beemer with the black dustbin fairing.

ReplyDeleteDo you mean the yellow Yamaha? It's Gary T's, Champion XS650 Roberts replica. Yes, very tidy. G
Nope the one in the dark. above the tank.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I thought it was french, not sure why so parisian sounds about right.
Ah, sorry. It could well be one of the Blitz bikes, like Mick says, who came from Paris with Sonic Seb (pictured at the top on the dustbin-faired BMW). G
ReplyDeleteThanks, the Roberts replica is nice but it tends to be patina that catches my eye / floats my boat.
ReplyDeleteManaged to hunt (read google) Seb on choppertown forum so will see if I can get in touch.
Think it may be a serious inspiration on my current project!
You don't happen to have a link to a bigger picture of it than the one in the collage?
ReplyDeleteCheers
I can verify Li150 (are you hinting at Lambretta affiliation?),
ReplyDeleteYes it's a R100/7 BMW & was over from Paris via Derby, with Sonic Seb on the U-Boat (at the top) with the Blitz crew to make a new Edwin promo to follow on from this one:

ReplyDeleteI dont believe you ever played 'mini' Rugby.
When were you ever mini?
I heard you were such a large baby that you were born in several sections which the midwife then had to bolt together.
BP
