Every time I visit Roland Sands' blog I remember why I like him so much. He has a range of clothing out now - Roland Sands Apparel. G Read about Roland and the rest of the Smoking Seagulls in Sideburn 5.
Looks nice but none of the jackets have armour and only a couple of them have pockets to buy armour for. Perhaps they're more for the highstreet... like some of the blinged up Harleys he makes
People have been riding motorcycles without armour in their jackets for 90 years. And most of the world's motorcyclists still ride without armour every day of their lives. I'm not saying that's good, right or wrong, just a fact. Mr Sands rides harder than just about any non-TT racer I've ever met. He rides the piss out of the bikes he builds. G
Personally, in London I'd like some armour, just to minimize bone breakage when cab drivers do impromptu u-turns. I get frustrated that I have to look like a power ranger if I want protection. I can buy a cool looking leather jacket anywhere
