First big thanks to all who came and watched and those who came to race. The Dirt Quake race classes were incredible to watch and, some how, everyone got through our section unscathed. That's something I thought was impossible at 11am, when the track was waterlogged.
I took one photo all day and it was of an Australian (Dan in the leather jacket and hat) who had ridden from Berlin on his Aprilia to be involved. He's carrying a rollergirl across a muddy track. Plenty of other people were taking photos all day.
Big thanks to all Short Track UK's staff and helpers for asking us to co-promote an event with them.
Massive thanks to all Sideburn's friends who helped put the event on and make it more memorable than even we thought it was going to be. G
PS Get well soon Stevie C.
Absolutely Fantastic!.Thanks guys for a great day,and giving us the opportunity to get a little sideways on our c90's.we're still buzzing.
ReplyDeleteAwe. Some.
ReplyDeleteGreat day out, got there at 12, left at 10. First short track attendance, won't be the last. We'll be at the next Dirt Quake but we'll be on track next time :-)
Cheers, Tom G.

ReplyDeleteLoved it! Keep calm and scooter on....Thanks to all for making a great event and look forward to the next.
ReplyDeleteLooks like y'all had afat time at Mud Quake, well done the loonies in Rusty Nail squadron and I hope that Super Tony on the CG got his rocks off . . . I hope also that someone managed to commit sizeable chunks to video for those of us unable to attend . . . brilliant job Sideburners !!!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say a big thank you to you guys for making the coolest
ReplyDeleteshort track round ever. The road bike race was genius and racing vespas royal enfields and bmws in 4 inches of mud was just awesome and insanely fun.
After spending all night rebuilding my XR only to find out at the track the electrics were dead I should have had a really bad day but instead I spent the whole time smiling and forgot all about it..
SO when's the next one? ;)

ReplyDeleteBrilliant spectacle and vibe to the day..losts of funky lookin people and Steve Berry's wife/Girlfriend..stunning.
Brilliant laugh and brilliant racing all round, really enjoyed the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteDid they say how Stevie was ? That was a nasty bump, hope he's ok.
Griff, That's Stevie posting a comment two about you. He has a badly broken wrist and is pretty down about it. Racing is dangerous and it's a credit to all the Dirt Quake riders that they put on such a show so safely. G
ReplyDeleteBLOODY BONKERS
ReplyDeleteGet well soon Stevie.
