Thanks to Jeremy for this photo (of unknown origin) of someone toasting their Norton Commando.
- Would you sacrifice grazing the jeans off your arse; possibly down to the bone, or launch yourself over the highside and pray against all odds that your ailerons can guide you to the soft grass field the other side of a 3-bar wooden fence? BP
That's gonna hurt
ReplyDeleteI got it back, no harm done. Slight scuff to the Brutus hipsters.
ReplyDeleteBloody hell mate, was the 'scuff' on the inside of the hipsters ??
ReplyDeleteprops to mick for that comment. made me do whast the kids refer to as a lol.
ReplyDeleteBrutus Hipsters sounds like a fantastic 1970s Italian homo-erotic, exploitation gladiator movie in which Caeser is a gorgeous, but tyrranical lesbian (like there could possibly be a non-fantastic homo-erotic, exploitation gladiator movie in which Caeser is a gorgeous lesbian). G
ReplyDeleteIs a 3 bar gate the Italian version?.
ReplyDeleteI always thought the British oak ones, were of the 5 bar variety....
Bet you were busy with the germolene after that one!!.
Half a Crown and sixpence!!
ReplyDeleteSteve and Nick - are you on drugs?
ReplyDeleteMick.....I doff my cap to the mention of Brutus hipsters, back in not so distant obsession with all things Suedehead, I had Levi's Action Slacks & Lee Panatella's...Dave.T
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine had to make that choice on his 750 Commando once when his bike threw a rod through the case and locked up at 80 mph. After a series of high and low wig-wags...he chose low. He slid on his back that was protected with a full aluminum framed backpack and the heels of his boots. After coming to a stop he realized his brand new leather jacket was untouched. Yeah, pack-surfing. He pushed the bike into the Oleanders by the side of the freeway, and after hiking back to pick up the contents of his shredded pack...spent the night in the bushes. Personally I prefer the low-side if it ever comes to it.
ReplyDeleteG, my respect for you has just increased.
