Personally its time to get out of motorcycles, its alll too much, time for the re invention of austin alllegros and bri -nylon slacks with a polo neck....
Bloody Hell Capnsimo....I was looking at Allegros last night on the web......obviously it has to be an estate version in turquoise pref with a Quartic steering wheel !!
James, don't get upset, just ignore it. It's like getting pissed off about a Panigale being £16,000 when you can get a CB500 for £4500. If those jackets weren't so expensive they wouldn't have been able to pay a load of our mates £200 each to ride up and down Oxford Street in the drizzle for the assembled paps. Getting fizzed up because people put a big price tag on something, and other people pay it, is futile. Keep smiling! G
Actually that reminds me that particular style of jacket was a development of the earlier Lewis Monza jacket a legendary forerunner of quilted shoulder jackets blah blah then came the cheapo naffo jackets with that type of padding which emerged from the real povvo shops and sorry to anyone what had one, still get em for a tenner at car boot sales now cheaper than a new Belstaff etc.....no one wants that stuff, trust me I'm a style guru
I honestly believe all this is good for biking, get motorcycling in whatever form out there to the public and maybe we can get some more young riders to go through the whole A1/A2 Scam..
Adriaan But who wants more dorks on bikes? Not that Sir Dave of Beckham is a dork. If people need to see someone famous on a bike before they think about buying one, then they don't really get it, do they? Of course, more people is good for the industry, but so what? G
I do wonder where the next generation of bikers is going to come from. When i was a teenager and posed at the traffic lights on my Bonneville everyone else on bikes was young too. Nowadays nearly everyone i see on bikes are still like me............all old.
Oh Gary - when will you learn ? It's marketing bollox - you don't really think he'll be into you just because you bike do you ?
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love the motorcycle inspired Binliner raingear.. :)

Slicks in London drizzle? Nice prop though.
ReplyDeleteLooks a bit like Dutch (from the Bike Shed) shaking his hand in one of the photos.
It is Dutch. The Black Skulls and Maxwell P were there as paid models too! G
ReplyDeleteTwo oh dear's in 24 hours . . . he does look rather fetching in 100% cow though.
ReplyDeleteI don't see Maxwell in any pics, were they worried he would out "Handsome" Mr Beckham ?? Perhaps Maxwell could design Mr.Beckham's next tattoo !!
