"Do you think it is possible to turn this two stroke Jawa CZ 175 drudge I have access to, into something off the meat rack like this Yam????. I thought it could be rad but > > > > > > i'm not sure whether to proceed or not ha ha.
happy new year CFH!

UPDATE: Strangely, I just noticed in MCN that Jawa 350 twins (shown below) are being imported into the UK. They cost, what I think is, a whopping £3799. If you're still interested go to http://www.jawamotorcycles.co.uk GI

  3. Having ridden one of the "new" Jawas I'd say they're aimed at exactly the same sort of market as Enfields (in terms of image, spec and price) but with less street cred and the inevitable smokey overtones.

  6. Holy smoke - I always considered myself a trend setter rather than a follower - ( out of step as Gary has said) - but I too have plans for an Inappropriate Road Bike class entry for DQ3 in the shape of Jawa. Pipped to the post - again ! Rethink maybe required - perhaps the XJ 900 ?

  7. Hahaha I've had the same 175 under a trap for years! It gets uncovered, looked at, started then covered up again at least twice a year.....go on do it....inspire me.

  8. A trivial fact ...Way back in the seventies the CZ was imported by Skoda (GB)who resided at the now Spiritual home of DQ ..Kings Lynne..

  9. Diedre, All-comers classes is where it's at, not splitting everyone off into a C90 class or an Eastern Bloc or whatever. Variety is the spice of Sideburn and Dirt Quake. G
