Corpses from Hell x Ruby Helmets

Ruby X Corpses From Hell from Richard Baybutt on Vimeo.

Absolutely brilliant video by Richard and Maxwell at Corpses from Hell (also featuring a bit of DTRA racer Ross Herrod) for Ruby Helmets.
Part of it is filmed in Sideburn stockists, The Mud Crab Diner, Sheffield.
Watch it, it'll make your day. G

Sideburn 14 Launch Party

It's been a hectic summer. Dirt Quake, Wheels and Waves, Cafe Racer Festival, Isle of Man, racing, bike-building and working on issue 14 of the magazine. Something had to give, so we considered ditching the idea of a launch party, then Corpses From Hell came to the rescue. They're organising what might be the most memorable ever! If you doubt it, check the CFH x Ruby video below. Are you on the right wavelength?

Where: SHEFFIELD
When: Thursday 8 August
What: Ride out from 2.30 the afternoon, up into the Peak District for some surprises. Then back to the Mud Crab Diner to check out Sam Christmas's famous Natural Habitats photo exhibition (first time out of London); The Garage Artists reel of groovy motorcycle short films, speed-eating contest, music, Sideburn merch stall, free Sideburn x Corpses from Hell stickers...

Prizes for furthest travelled (by bike), best bike, best jacket (all decided by CFH)

PS Sideburn #14 is looking grrrrrreat.

Corpses from Hell CB400

Artist in demand, Maxwell P of Corpses from Hell is selling his Honda daily ride to put the money into his BSA project. He lives in London. Get in touch through his blog. Here's the warts and all sell...

The thing's reliable but its a bit of a rat. theres mot and tax so thats a plus.
it's got new battery
sporty alpha 70's exhaust
new brake shoes at the front
new front tyre
the front forks are slightly bent but I just ride it like that.

I suppose if anyone wanted it they'd probaby want to re paint it. I was hoping for £600. It should be good for that as the restoration wrecks go for 300 with no docs.
Maxwell also does a nice line in necklaces. BP

SB x CFH Ride-Out

Don't forget this Thursday's Sideburn and Corpses From Hell party up in Sheffield.

We're leaving the Mud Crab cafe for the ride-out at 3.30 sharp.
It's only a short ride, but the CFH promise a surprise or two on the route through the Peak District (see a photo from the recce, above). It's all on tarmac, unless you don't want it to be. Then it's back to the Mud Crab for an evening of music, speed-eating and (hopefully) magazine buying.

If you can't make it for the ride, the rest of the shenanigans run from 7.30 to 11.30.

Prizes for furthest travelled (by bike), best jacket and best bike.

Live For Myself, Answer To Nobody

Incoming from top photographer Sam Christmas (who shot SB15's Cover 2)

It should be a good night with loads of unseen McQueen Barry Feinstein prints, other photography by Bill Ray, Von Dutch, Joe McGorty and myself, art by Death Spray and Corpses from Hell as well as a few rare motorcycles and cars. And a free bar. Its in the (fully enclosed) top floor of the NCP on Brewer street, Soho and if you rock up on a McQueen era(ish) bike, you can park in the actual exhibition space... and leave it there til the next day too if you want to drink. For those that are interested but can't make the opening, the show will be running for a few weeks.

We're pleased to announce The Mud Crab Diner, Sheffield now stocks Sideburn.
We haven't visited yet, but it's on our To Do list, and so is wolfing down their '6 napkin burger' (pictured).

Milo and Maxwell are in!

Dirt Quake race entries are all closed now (unless you have an awesome chopper to compete on). Maxwell from Corpses From Hell (above) has manned up. So has Milo from 45 Chop (below).
They've been in training.
Dirt Quake tickets are on sale. Cheaper in advance, but there is an opportunity to pay on the gate too. If anyone wants to do a stint of marshalling for the Short track race race you'll get into the event for free. You can marshall from 11-4 (then watch the Dirt Quake carry-on and the GNC) or watch the Dirt Quake classes and marshal the GNC from 6.30 - 9.30. Email or leave a comment if you're interested. You need to be able to wave a flag at the appropriate moment and pick up a bike. G

Conrad and the Long Day pt. 3

I forgot to mention Conrad Leach (above with gallerist Richard Gauntlett) is painting an exclusive new version of one of his most popular works for Rollerburn. The painting is going to be huge and feature in some of the day's full-on happenings.

The art show element of Rollerburn hasn't had much coverage on the blog, but it's going to be brilliant. We have work from Sideburn collaborators:
Adi Gilbert (99 Seconds)
Maxwell Paternoster (Corpses from Hell)

Plus work from Sketch Stance and Mel Langton.

This alone would be enough to make me travel 200 miles to see but this is just one element of a packed day. A never to be repeated packed day.
Tickets here. G

£22 plus postage.

We've also done a limited run of A3-sized prints on 300gsm recycled brown card. The print is £6 plus postage, order both here at the same time and save on post.

MotoGP on Fire

CIELO: MOTOGP™ OPENING from NERDO on Vimeo.

Spotted this on Corpses From Hell blog. It reminds me of, Chief Corpse, Maxwell Paternoster's work.

See Maxwell race his BSA - Lazer Death - and become part of his artwork at next weekend's Dirt Quake III. G

Wingboot, Buzz or Howl

New products in the Sideburn webshop.
First is a gorgeous new rub-on sticker- the Wingboot. Each letter is individually cut out, like our logo/subs stickers. £3.50 plus post.
Black, white or red.
250mm (10in) long. BIG!
Perfect for vehicles, helmets, toolboxes...
We bought a few of these Buzz or Howl 7in singles to sell on because...
A) Our entertainments officer David 'Skooter Farm' Arnold plays bass in this 3-piece.
B) One of our favourite artists, Maxwell Paternoster (Prez of the Corpses From Hell) drew the artwork.

We have a handful of these at £5 plus post.
The style is a lot like Freak Scene-era Dinosaur Jr and Mega City Four, late-80s indie punk. Anyway, there were 500 made and the record company has sold out of them already.
Vinyl fans should also check out the one of only release on Sideburn Records, by The Stags. G
