Project Royal Enfield progress

Look at it! The Mighty Carl at CFM has done the business, again. Our Bullet Classic 500 has had its front end removed and fitted with this beautiful concoction of Paioli forks, Bimota yokes, Excel rim, Talon hub and Maxxis tyre. We know there's not a lot of clearance or fork travel, but we're going to deal with it. We have big plans for the rear end too. What do you think?

CFM are waiting to sort your stalled project out, build you a race bike, or create you a low-tech Wrenchmonkee style machine. We trust them completely. G

appropriate application of a sideburn sticker - you're there, ready to mix it in traffic, or on the track (sort of). Less IS More !

SWEET!

Tyre, Rim and Hub in perfect harmony!

Are you going to add front brake or are you going wild&crazy?

It does look a bit like it's hit a wall at speed but I'm sure that can be sorted.
If it was propping up my shed I think I'd be looking for a smaller tank that follows the line of the top frame rail, maybe in alloy? I'd want an air filter that didn't look like a toolbox, maybe a nice big K & N on an updraft intake? I'd probably bin the silencer and either jam a mute up the pipe or run up a trails type pipe that runs over the top of the engine case. Because of the huge drop down to the shock mounts I might go for a sprung saddle to help fill the space and a small alloy rear mudguard, a bit weird with a sprung frame but the back on Enfields has always been weird.

The boing boing rear must go...You've got to give her a stiff one.

Maybe keep the rear frame and make a new subframe straight out from the tank and get a cool empty traingle below it and the rear frame. Like an early Kimura race bike. But why do I bother, you will make a cool bike out of with my ideas... For sure!
