Ace Cafe Flat Track Day

Thanks to everyone who turned up, especially Steve who did a 412-mile round trip 'To see some flat track bikes in the flesh for the first time,' and Nick who rode from Somerset with a Rollerball shirt over his leathers. Good to put faces to email addresses and see some SB friends and great bikes. At least it didn't rain all day...

Gary, great event even if I find the Ace Cafe a bit naff. Some different bikes I hadn't seen before and great to meet up with some people I hadn't seen for some time. Had a great ride up, playing with one of the new Porsche saloons, he was faster on the open road and I was faster in traffic, but disaster on the way back on the M4 in pouring rain ran out of fuel four miles from Newbury Services, took three hours to get going again, cold damp and dark, what a prat!! check your using the 'ON' position for the fuel taps!! not the 'RESERVE". Also don't always believe what your told about the tank being 37 litres when it turns out to be 30 litres! Hell I needed a road trip, and I got one, Hey Ho on to the next one!!
