Springfield Mile on TV

Hope this isn't too late for the relevant people. Randy K told us about it. This is the AMA Pro Racing press release. What the hell is the 'excellent racing product'? Marketing dicks! Anyway...

'Sixty-two motorcycles took the green flag at the Illinois State Fairgrounds for the 2009 Illinois Motorcycle Dealers Association's Springfield Mile, the first round of AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National Championships Twins competition, and fans can catch all of the racing action in high definition on SPEED this Sunday, June 14, 2009, at 4:00 p.m. ET (1:00 p.m. PT).
'The excellent racing product that was seen in Illinois will now be available for fans across the country to appreciate," said Roger Edmondson, President of AMA Pro Racing. "We would like to thank our partner SPEED for setting the stage."
'The field was full of the world's leading motorcycle racing talent, including reigning AMA Pro Grand National Champion Kenny Coolbeth, seven-time Grand National Championship Chris Carr, and AMA Pro Road Racing regulars Larry Pegram and Danny Eslick. Eight manufacturers were also represented, including Harley-Davidson, Suzuki, Triumph, Aprilia, BMW, Kawasaki, KTM and Ducati.'

I'm sure it'll be repeated. GI

It is on Speed, again 27 June at 10 pm est. I think, check your programing. Dave Despain stated that last night on WindTunnel. Great race and pretty impressive camera angles and filming. Good job to the crew, most dirt track races whether car or motorcycle don't come off to well from the camera's perspective, i.e. dust etc... They did a great job on this one! Peace!
