Sideburn needs a hauler

We need a van for boxes of stuff and race bikes. We're not picky, but we don't have much money. We want something with an MoT. We've only got £1500 or so. GI

Check out Merthyr Motor Vehicle Auctions on autotrader or their website http://www.auctioneers.co.uk/

You can pick up a diesel ambulance fiat ducato for £1,600 and it comes with cupboards for tools and proper power sockets, lights and twin batteries etc.

Oh and if you leave the stickers on everyone lets you out of junctions ;-)

Tom, thanks for the info. If it's an auction how do you know they're £1600? Are you a regular? These look spot on. G

Sell the Fiat Multi-thingy and get a proper van.

Search on autotrader vans for 'ambulance' and the one from MMV is fourth in the list.
As for how you do it I think you register but they do telephone bidding.
They are a huge company so I assume they are trust worthy and ambulances get well serviced.
All auctions publish a guide price, but its normally to catch your interest so how much they go for I don't know. On ebay I've seen a few ducato and sprinter ambulances go for £1,200-£1,800.

My buddy and I currently roll around in his 1974 Ford E300 (1 Ton Econoline) Super Van! It only has the front two bucket seats and we fit my '05 Speedmaster and his '74 Z1 in it with plenty of room for other stuff. Our next van will hopefully be a 2001 or newer Ford extended van, like the 'Pros' use. But, we're in the states. So that probably doesn't help you much.

Those Dodge and Freightliner tall vans look like they would work pretty nicely with the taller roof line.

I picked up a Fiat Ulysse for €800, complete with LPG conversion and towbar. Multitasks as a seven person people carrier to ferry my mates down the local when I'm designated driver...
