Flat Track Fridays and Isle of Man
Flat Track Fridays starts this er, Friday at King's Lynn. And it's free for spectators.
Unfortunately, I won't be there for the first one, as I'll be in the Isle of Man. Going by ferry this time. I wish I was going by dinghy again.
The first day's TT - the Dainese Superbike TT - was dominated by Honda, Englishmen and UK flat track racers. The top three places, John McGuinness, Steve Plater and Guy Martin (below) have all raced the UK Short Track Christmas Cracker (and Guy has raced elsewhere with us too). Well done fellas.

I REALLY wanna go to the IOM !!!!
Take me with you next time!
I'll try again. Thank God I don't write for a living...
Guy Martin on BBC Radio 4 this morning was priceless. "Radio 4 is perfect for the tractor". Great to hear the TT getting a bit of attention, though obviously Rossi's presence didn't hurt
Great event - I watched some of the ITV4 practice coverage & am looking forward to watching the races this week - 130+mph lap = insane, like an arcade game!!!! I was dead proud enough of just getting some air over Ballough Bridge...
How long does that take by Dinghy?
t: that depends on who's pedalling, and Gary's legs are only short - though fearsomely strong.
im going next year!!!!!! Maybe Guy Will win in next year!
T, it took about 2 hours from Holyhead, Anglessey, North Wales, on the calmest day of the year.
Giannis, maybe Guy will win. Whoever wins is a hero. The speeds are truly astonishing. G
