Now, I know that we English and our American friends don't always see eye to eye on spelling, and that,ironically, many spellings that we Brits think have been bastardised by the Americans are actually Pilgrim Father survivors of a more 'traditional' spelling from the old country, but... is that really how you lot spell chequered?
