New Mules

New from Mule. Love the look of the Triumph. He's good, isn't he?

The green XS650 has been in work for over a year. It has everything done to the motor that you can do, 18" widened Morris wheels, CBR900RR 45mm front forks and calipers and heavily reworked (thickness and diameter) XS650 front rotors. The pipes are stainless and ceramic coated, Storz tank, and carbon-fiber XR750 seat. The pad is in work and the wiring has yet to be completed, but I took it to the Quail just to show off the progress.

The Triumph "Catalina" is a 60's desert sled style based on a new (but all wrong), Triumph Scrambler. The idea was to have a Scrambler with the new motor that didn't look like the Pillsbury Doughboy! The front hub is a BMW and the rear is from an XS650. Tank is a narrow aluminum, aluminum fenders and skid-plate with CZ handlebars re-plated in a rich, heavy nickel. Levers are from a YZ490 Yamaha with stock throttle and grips. Seat is custom as are the pegs and rear frame modifications. The frame cradle tubes are the Streetmaster oil cooler to frame tube conversion. Steve McQueen called and says he wants one!

This guy's bikes are great. I completely agree with him in that the Triumph is what the Scrambler should be. Great stuff!
