did you catch Jim Bob on Desert Island Discs ? - I think Kirsty had her work cut out. Explains quite a lot though. His time pent sitting in the dark "pondering" has obviously not been wasted.
Sheesh... if only peeping and panty-sniffing alone made a successful writer.
My favorite Ellroy book: Brown's Requiem. Good stuff
