World's Most Expensive Montesa?

Gareth emailed to show us this listing on UK eBay. A Montesa 250 reputedly used in the Bond film Quantum of Solace, is up for grabs. It's at £24,000 ($38K) but hasn't reached the reserve yet.
Snap it up, here. G

He'd look better on a Lambretta dressed like that.

I suppose the boots offer more protection than his gloves or helmet...

Next time I'm thinking of buying some new shoes I'll come here for advice....

I thought erm HONDA had the contract for the Bong movie so that would make the montessa a fraud and so his shoes therefore cannot taken to be a true representation of a bond movie person and so it could all be a photoshop montage and he is actually having tea with the queen.........

I didn't know Honda had the contract, but I know Honda own a large share (or all) of the Montesa name/factory and have since the early 80s. G

I dont think bond would have as much appeal dressed up in a full Hein Gerick textile body suit.....

I'm sure he was just about to get balls deep into a fit bird moments before this, but noticed something with his MI5 training, and did a bunk....

I think about it all the time - staring out the window in my suit - I could do a running jump out this window, jump on that bike, and tear away down the road.

Alas - i'm not bond.

The grim reality being the closest I would get to being entwined with such a woman would be attached with a legal prosecution, and being a tall lanky bumbling oik, i would probably lacerate myself to the point of bleed out or break my wrists and ankles jumping from the window....

never the less I continue to harbor such thoughts, as i may one day mature into an Adonis; irresistible all women.

I have plenty of shoe advice. In the 70s i had a fine pair of brogues made by Church. The trouble was that you'd get a wear mark across the shoe where you changed gear. Happily i solved this by alternating between my Kawasaki H2C and my Bonneville. A simple but very satisfactory outcome.

Bong movie? Now you're are talking

Gear change marks on your brogues? Poor show old man, that's what hand changes are for.

Thanks Harley. I like that Sir!

I hope you didnt wear brogues with jeans... cant get on with that look at all.

Too "history teacher" unless of course they are hunter s thompson style ankle high brogue boots. Then its okay.

Gareth i reckon you ought to go kitten heel.

The only jeans i wore around 1970/71 were Lee Jeans (with a half-inch tun-up. More expensive but superior to Levis) which were ideal with a nice oxblood Dr Martens boot. I often wore Levi cords (needle cords, never jumbo), although wearing them on a motorcycle did wear out the inner thighs very quickly. Oh, and ice blue Levi Sta-Prest were a disaster on a Bonneville.

There is not enough corduroy in the world.

I was hoping world cords day (11th november last year) would spark a revival but unfortnately not.

I had to google it first to make sure what it was - don't think I'm brave enough for the Kitten Heel look yet but who knows what "Dirtquakesque" event next year will justify such foolish yet ssshhhexxy behaviour

I think i'll make a steel shoe for my Desert Boot.
