Dai Jobu In London this week

Dai Jobu is a Welshman with a finger in plenty of pies. He collaborated with Sideburn for issue 4 and has this knees-up, to launch his naked girl + dirt tracker calendar, in trendy East London this week. We're intrigued. Expect (at least one of) the Wilson Brothers, Steve Red Max and Dave Death Spray in attendance. And you're all welcome. Dai says... GI

'An exhibition of images taken from the Garage Calender, and the first live performance of PLAYBAND in the gallery. In addition opening on the same night around the corner at PRESENT you can see the exhibition continue and other products available in the store. Art, Music, Print, Girls, Boys, Hot Cider, World Class Cappucino...and a few Bikes...All Welcome

Born in Wales, Dai Jobu has in spite of his humble origins a very broad palette when it comes to what he likes.

As a man of spirit - or hwyl as it translates in his native tongue - he loves life.
And life to him means girls, motorbikes, art, fashion and music etc. in any and all combinations.
In part due to his small town beginnings, travel has always played a major part in his gameplan. As a result of his wanderlust he has been inspired by a veritable garden of earthly delights but by far his greatest influence has been found in the cultural mores of Japan in general and of Tokyo specifically; whether by day or night, it’s worldly wisdom is a great inspiration to his life and work.
Like some kind of unshaven renaissance man Dai Jobu has instigated a wide variety of projects including the Dai Jobu membership group, the Dai Jobu Menswear range, his re-imagining of the classic Pirelli publication with the Dai Jobu 2010 Garage Calendar, not to mention his recent move into band management with the PLAYBAND project. His involvement in Street Tracker bike customization is just another sideline that should keep Dai Jobu on the road to bigger and even better things.'

Sorry, East London has never been trendy. Even the so-called trendy bits are arm-pits.
