UK Short Track News

UK short track kingpin Peter Boast has been busy. Like the Italians (who put on a show at Verona), he's always thinking of ways he can get the sport he loves in front of people who've never even heard of flat track. The latest plan was to run indoor races at the huge Autosport Show. Work meant I could make it, but it looks like a short track race in a nightclub. Boastie reckons 40,000 people saw them over the duration of the show. There's some video here.

Pete and Steve Red Max will have a stand at the Classic Dirt Bike Show, Telford, on, I think, Feb 16.
Then they're both off to Daytona BUT Boastie's racing. This year he's going ball's out to qualify in the Pro Sport singles class at the new Daytona Short Track (within the Daytona Speedway complex, not the Municipal Stadium) and also hoping to get to Savannah, Georgia in the run-up to Daytona. If you see him, say hello.
