Sideburn Editors,
My dad and I race a little BSA b25 at the Bonneville Salt Flats (I've attached a few pictures of the bike). We're planning to build a frame similar to Alf Hagon's sprint bike (picture attached). We'd like to find a set of those vintage Hagon grasstrack/speedway forks, but boy are they hard to find over here in the States. Who in the UK might have some of those old
things sitting around? Any ideas?
Thanks,
Max Somers, Illinois

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but have you called Hagon to see if they have anything lying around in the back of their cupboard?

Otherwise the next best place would probably be to put an advert up on the UK Speedway Forum:

Good luck!

Ask here

There is a forum and someone will have a set they were quite common on grass bikes.
Nice!
Thanks for the suggestions. We have called Hagon, no luck there. I'll check out some of the forums.

Couldn't agree more with Anthony Brown. www.grasstrack.net is the forum to go to and they have a 'Wanted" section for Grasstrack parts.
There must be loads of pairs of Hagon forks buried away in sheds and garages across the U.K.
Look like BSA Bantam D1 forks from here , used on lots of bikes over here cos they were so cheap and plentyfull !
Steve Redmax .
they are actually hagon drag forks ... same as ... but shorter than the grasstrack forks
