Swedish SR

We're getting loads of people sending pics of bikes they've built or are building they'll all go up in the next few days.

This beaut is from Martin Borgenport in Stockholm.

"Hi Gary!
Here are some photos I had of my Sr500 with TT 500 alu tank and more.

sure they were Dirty'
but the XT500 which is the trail version - essentially the same bike ( but with wire wheels, knobblies, high plastic mudguards, flatter bars, slightly different cam?) is much more readily available.
However you should maybe also consider any Rotax engined bike eg pre-2000 CCM, CanAm / Amstrong as used by the British army etc. In the States it even got re-badged as a Harley Davidson™. Its harder to find in the UK than the Yamaha, but it wont vibrate your eyeballs or teeth loose & is much more reliable. The engine doesn't have quite the classic good looks of the Yam' but it is a simple air-cooled unit & it's MUCH easier to get flat track goodies for it. If you're really keen you could buy a proper 'framer' from the States. Try American eBay.
