I went to see Austin's band, The Hip Priests, play with Dan Sartain and the Night Marchers at the Rescue Rooms, Nottingham the other week. A great night. The Night Marchers are headed up by Speedo formerly of the mighty Rocket from the Crypt. The Hip Priests were a good show. Their singer minces around the stage in a vest and steel toe-caps like a pantomime gay builder, but sings hardcore-tinged rock. But, it was Dan Sartain who stole the night for me. I can't get his latest song, Ruby Carol out of my head. Flick over to Dan Sartain's MySpace to get a fix of rockabilly C&W from this Alabama cat.
