SB Project FT Progress Report
Honda championed pressed steel frames, starting with their world famous step-through Cub. They made sense, price and production-wise, but aesthetically; well there there is no aesthetic, they're plain sinful. Also as they were designed very specifically for a particular model, trying to interchange parts from other bikes, is pissing in the wind. But our Carl has Houdini piss, and has made new top rails for our FT which has a mix of pressed sections and tube. It was never going to be an expensive one-off framer, we just wanted to cutomize what we had with minimal cost, maximum ingenuity. The Gilera tank is now sitting pretty. Bravo Carl. BP

looking great, now that you have the frame mod and lines correct with the tank, everything else should fall into place.
you gonna put that starter motor out of its misery and make this thing a bump start only machine?
Hey I figured out this blog thing.
I once fitted a full kickstart setup on an FT off a CB250RSA. It started easy but I fell off it anyway. Good job it wasn't mine.
looks good now
I hope to see the square headlight and comestar wheels on the finished bike! Haha.
Hey Travis, you're in luck. This budget project will have the original headlight and wheels. Just wait... G
not sure for the seat but tank looks great !
great lowbro project :)
said it before and i'll say it again, my brother is a clever bastard and makes the coolest bikes ever
Square headlight will fit in fine with dirt guard/numberplate. I suppose if you blacked out the comstars they'd look okay. I like that tank alot, good to see the progress gentlemen
They don't have comstars but interesting mag sytle ones !
Ditch the headlamp ladies , it's a rotter .

You're all wrong about that headlight. Mark our words. G

Great work on fitting the tank there! Looks different and cool! Me and many are curious about the square headlight so you just might start a trend with those headlights as you have done with the SB
-Lead instead of follow!
Cheers, Marcus
Anyway to get a pis without the tank/seat? Like to see where the cuts were made and what was welded in.
