This was up on the wall in the Classic Bike magazine office when I used to work there in the late Nineties and is one of a number of supposedly sobering posters created in Britain in the Fifties by Roland Davies. The idea, presumably, was to shock those awful rockers into realising that the ton-up lifestyle was really not on. Which makes me wonder why this chap is dressed like my dad would have been, in belted waxed jacket and what appear to be sturdy brown shoes. But hey, when he connects with that family saloon he'll be fully protected by that peaked cork 'n' foreskin helmet. Well, his arsehole will be, in any case. MP
