How Low Can You Go?

Or Long?! Sadly missed a chance to practice at Rye House yesterday, but decided to have a concerted fiddle to make-up. The neglect is embarrassing (that's not rust on the chain its red clay from my last outing). Meant to give my conversion project some lovin' over the winter but it didn't happen. CCM added a long swing arm to their Supermotard to give it better road manners, but it's not ideal for hooking it up on the dirt. What's more the way the WP monoshock is mounted with a fat brace just in front of the rear tyre means this swing arm can't really be shortend. As for the ride height (ignoring the sky scraping rear sub-frame), The WP shock is 34cm between the eyes so taking it off and using a trolley-jack I lowered the bike to see what it could be dropped to. Anybody know what shorter shock might fit? At 32cm (as in the top photo) both swing-arm and engine are a similar angle of dangle to Guy's new CoBuilt - but consequently the front forks have increased rake which aint good. BP

BP. Looking how to drop the ass on mine too. Even with a new seat sub frame still way high. Ideas?

Can you not drop the forks through the yokes a little to steepen the head angle?
320mm shock? CBR? Not sure of the mounts though, they might be wishbone.
Could call someone like Nitron and ask of they could recommend a shock?

I did shorten my swing arm by 2 1/2" in front of shock mount, unknown shock approx 30 long then built own subframe. Zx6 forks dropped thru yokes, as u know looks rough but works for me!

the shorter back end and shock that length seemed to bring front in as well, probably not quite enough but close enough for my budget!!

R1/R6 shock 300mm methinks but to drop the back end and keep the rake just lower the subframe?
