It's started! The pre-season, pre-Daytona, non-GNC All-Star National Flat Track Race on the clay half-mile of Savannah, Georgia is the first chance for the GNC riders to ride their big bikes in anger. Jake Johnson (#1) started this year, like he finished last season, with a win in the Expert Twins, while Sammy Halbert won the Expert singles (and was 5th in the twins). Nicole Cheza (#15) was on it too, it seems. Read the full report at the The Fast and Dirty.
Matt Weidman is listed as coming third on a Honda in the Expert Twins. Can anyone gives us more details about the bike?

oh, I like that Nina Simone song!
Matt was actually on 'his trusty XR' per a post by his Mom on FB yesterday. Supposed to ride one of the White's XRs today as well.
Great start for all for the new season, Jared Mees on the podium in both races...he's Mr. Consistency and will be there all year long!
I thought it was Ray Charles?
Nick: yes, you've right. It was a second long black hole in my mind.
i thought Mississippi Goddam from Nina Simone.
