Olympic BMX

BBC coverage of the Olympic BMX has been great with it's Top Gear style soopa slow-mo sequences from sweeping boom cameras. There was a big pile up Thursday in heat three of the mens quarter final.
The womens final (photo above) yesterday was very exciting.
UPDATE:
But if you want rad, my vote is on the Russian synchronised swimmers. BP

I found the BMX racing surprisingly exciting. And my boy now wants one. Isn't that what they're calling the 'London Legacy'?

I agree, I had to yell at everyone to be quite last night and try to rally some excitement for the finals while they were talking about some controversial subject...

It was some awesome racing. I noticed some rule changes from when I used to race in the late 90's. It might just be international/olympic rules. Good stuff!

I thought the track was brilliant, the racing action awesome and there were none of my whining countrymen pissing about, what's not to like ?

Those Russian swimmers are awesome. It's like one of Jacques Cousteua's acid flashbacks as an Olympic sport. Anyone who doesn't think this is a sport should try swimming upside-down underwater for two minutes while their bottom-half is stuck out of the water attempting to convey the spirit of a prehistoric sea monster as they are simultaneously smiling (underwater, remember) like the Valium-bombed mum of twin gluesniffers on the L'Entheric counter at Boots in Welwyn Garden City. I fucking love it. G

Do you think that the bird on our left has dropped her guts and is wondering if the bird on the right is gunna grass her up?
