Grayson Perry: Genius
Grayson Perry is without doubt our favourite Turner Prize-winning transvestite artist, and that's before we realised he was a fan of old Harleys. Thanks to John and Andy Ford for letting us know about Grayson's planned road trip. Follow his trip, from the perspective of his teddy bear Alan Measles here. GI

...oh my days...I actually *love* this!...but I think I might love Alan Measles the mostest...
Wrong on every level.
Especially the motorcycle one.
Right on every level.
Especially the faux Knucklehead with teddybear shrine one.
Grayson Perry may be a fruitcake, but he's also more of a rebel than a uniform wearing biker.
BLips spot on.
If you catch Grayson Perry at a track day he won't be wearing Hein Gericke, but a Cerne Abbas style 1pce! He's a one off and however 'challenging' his ideas, he will be celebrated. But like the majority, he loves the sheer thrill of a motorcycle. Genius indeed.
i was speaking to someone a couple of months back that used to be his house mate years ago. She was telling us him and his mates used to go out on their bikes to visit country fairs. They used to stop at the nearest service station though; get all trans'd up then arrive on their bikes and walk round the fair in full drag. Now if that isn't commendable behavior I don't know what is. She said he was a real bike nut. Ride on grayson.
B.
That was the bike that started it all for Orange County Choppers.
