Edwin x Eastside

Leading denim-slingers and supporters of the DTRA, Edwin has just announced a collaboration with Sideburn 12 cover star, Christophe Canitrot of Eastside, Toulouse.

Celebrating the long-term partnership between Eastside and Edwin we got our heads together and created a timeless classic, based on one of Christophe Canitrot’s original race leather jackets from his expansive motorcycle inventory, collected over the years. 

Basing the block and detailing on the original garment; an unbranded 1960’s jacket he found in a London second-hand store back in 1992. Christophe has put the jacket through its paces over years of riding, patching and re-patching. The Edwin replica jacket is made using tough cow hide, black dyed with a matte finish, featuring robust silver zippers. The co-branding consists of a subtle embossed patch, placed on the left arm and the jacket is lined with a lightweight plaid flannel. 

 The Eastside x Edwin Jacket is available at our London and Paris stores, in selected retailers across Europe and online. Originally a pro BMX racer and avid motorcyclist, 

Christophe has been riding and collecting motorcycles since he was 18 years old. He currently rides a 1975 BMW, a 1952 Terrot and the custom 1971 Triumph T120R hard-tail (which was custom built for Wheels & Waves 2012 (and raced at Dirt Quake II) in homage to dirt track riding and legendary BMX rider, Mike Miranda.

Kocinski wins in Vegas

Former Int'l 250 champion still has it and in a big way.  He won the Vintage class at the Gene Romero WCFTS race last night. He and his son came to the races together. Very cool as the pit moms took turns handling the kid while John was racing. 

We feature this incredible Honda in Sideburn 12. 
Looks like Tom Jones was back in Vegas to interview the winners. G

Sideburn 12 on pre-sale

The latest issue of Sideburn, #12, arrives in one week. We think it's a beauty. We whittled the cover options down to two but didn't want to reject one, so we've printed two alternative. You can do things like that when you run your own magazine.
The interior of each magazine is identical, so choose cover 1 or cover 2.
Cover 1 features David Death Spray on undercover manoeuvres, Cover 2 features Christophe from Toulouse shot by Vincent Southsiders.
We're also offering 12 with the scarf combo for £15, plus post.

Sideburn x Death Spray Custom

We've collaborated and crossed swords with the mysterious Death Spray Custom a few times. We featured the DSC Boner bike in Sideburn 4 (there are literally a handful of that issue left. It sold out, then we found a box).
Then DSC painted our FT500 project bike.
For Sideburn 12 Death Spray have outdone themselves by producing an exclusive, 10-page MilSpec special section, that includes a brand new Commando-style comic strip, written by DSC and illustrated by comic artist Pesky Kid.

Sideburn 12 Release Night, London

The good people at Edwin have got together with the good people at Kraken Rum and the kind of alright people at Sideburn to have a night of London schmoozing and (if you like) boozing.
It's at the Charlotte Road store in East London. 6-10pm.
Prizes for bikes we like and furthest travelled and other random stuff that puts a smile on our faces.
