Here's some background information on Bandisca from one of the owners...

We founded Bandisca in 2014, the name means nothing... just a word that my little girl said to our dog when she was 2 years old... and the black cat on the logo is because we also have two black cats at home. We build bikes for fun, that meaning that we only build what we like, so customers must be very brave for coming to us...  

For two years we cooked the idea of opening a store beside the workshop and this year we got it... The deco was made by a local designer, Sebastian Diamandi, a good friend that putted all his soul on that, everything into it is handcrafted by him, and the result is a crazy steampunk space. 

We based the store on small manufacturers, we don't sell big brands, we try to offer more rare and exclusive things at the shop including NOS items and also some artworks. Since we opened the store it became a point of reference for new motorcycle custom culture in this crazy city, the local cafe racers, scramblers, resto mods, and freaky customs stop daily for a coffee at our store, just beside the Parliament Palace... but doesn´t matters, cops can´t dance!! ... Romania is still 10 years behind the custom culture point of view but we hope to update the local minds.

Two friends with a shared vision founded Papa Wolf Supply Co. in 2014. For a year we occupied a humble 200 sqft. shop in Dover, NH where we were only open on Saturdays and quickly grew an online following through instagram. The majority of that success came out of our authentic involvement and commitment with our customers and manufacturers. After several successful pop-up shops we decided it was time to move the shop to Portsmouth. Excited to expand we decided to open a 1,500 sq. foot brick and mortar location in Portsmouth, NH.

In Bruges: Hermanus

I'd like to welcome Hermanus as our latest Sideburn stockist. A new shop in Bruges, Belgium, it opens this weekend. I interviewed one of the owners about living the dream and opening his own shop. GI

Who is behind Hermanus?
I'm Andy Geeroms, 34, born and raised in a little town called Meerbeke, 30km from Brussels. Two years ago I met Evy, also a petrolhead and I fell instantly in love. You only live once, so I decided to leave it all behind, followed my heart and moved to Bruges, where she lived. We both have the same to dream to do 'something' with bikes, especially cafe racers, so after 16 years working as a truck driver I decided to take the shot and just follow my dream. I'm also organizing 'Fly Low', a yearly cafe racer event in Bruges.

Why did you choose the name Hermanus? 
Some years ago, Chris Hunter from Bike Exif asked if I was interested to be in 'The Ride' with my bike. Off course I was! The guys from Gestalten asked what the name of the bike was. We weren't used to do that here in Belgium, it was rather new to name a bike, so I didn't have a clue. Five years ago I was co-founder of a cafe racer club in Ninove, where I used to live before moving to Bruges, called 'the Flying Hermans', so we thought it was cool to name the bike 'Hermanus'. From that moment, people related me with that bike and it became kind of my nickname. Three years later, a lot of people think that my name is Herman or Manus, or sometimes they just say Her.. I don't care, it's funny.. So we decided to name the shop 'Hermanus'

Why go to all the hard work of opening a brick and mortar shop? 
Like I said above, I was fed up with my day job, I worked many years and many hours as a truck driver. My father died 17 years ago, on the age of 48. He worked 30 years day and night for his boss, and when he died, I said to myself: 'Not me'. I've also said, when it's possible and realistic, I will follow my dream. I don't want to die one day saying '..If I..' or 'What if I should...' I don't mind the hard work or financial risk, as long as I can do what interests me. And that are bikes and everything around it.

What will be your opening times? 
We are opening in the weekend of 6 and 7 February, both days from 10am 'till 6pm. After that, we are open Wednesday and Thursday from 10-13 and 14-18.30; Friday from 10-13 and 14-20; Saturday from 10-18, Sunday from 14-18.

Announcing another great shop stocking Sideburn, this time in the Netherlands. Zoran was/is involved with the Rusty Gold Swap Meet and set this shop up earlier in the year. Rusty Gold MotorShop is Amsterdam's first vintage/custom/urban motorcycle lifestyle hotspot. A combination of exclusive 'moto culture' related clothing and accessories on the one side and a coffeeshop/hang out on the other. 

Here you can touch everything, try on whatever you like and even enjoy a strong ass espresso while you're at it. But to also service you when you can't make it to the store, we launched this Webshop. It carries (almost) the complete selection and stuff bought online can also be exchanged in the 'offline store'.

Bike Shed Motorcycle Club

In just two and a half years Vikki, Dutch and Bike Shed crew have hosted four London bike shows and one in Paris. They are unstoppable. And now they have just opened their first full-time venue in the heart of Shoreditch. Behind a modest entrance, next to a small tattoo shop, a very impressive 10,000sq feet space filling three big arches under the East London railway line. Functioning as cafe, bar, restaurant, shop, gallery, barbershop and exhibition space.

There's nothing else like it in London - or Britain actually. Congratulations! BSMC is marinated in professionalism but with zero whiff of corporation, the attitude is very easy going. We wish them all the best. BP
