Alberto's Framer

Another Euro made framer on the go. This time from our amico Alberto Narduzzi. It, along with the Ouroboros Zaeta, Marco Belli and others will be at the Verona show this weekend. Looks like Luca Talamona's helping out there too.

I think some sites are saying we're going. We're not. GI

This, from Alberto, for our Italian friends. I can't read a word of it...

FTW Racing

The recent LA/Las Vegas mini-trip had plenty of highlights, but one of the best for me was meeting the FTW Racing crew. Supported by the FTWCo organisation, the flat track part of the team was made up of Dustin, Noah and Steve, all riding SR/TT500s Yams. They’re all members of the Sinners club, but they have dirt riding experience. And it showed. They rode like demons. Dustin and Noah made the Saddleman Classic Main on separate nights. Steve’s bike was screwed. In the stands they were supported a bunch of bike-building faces. Chopper Dave, Brandon from Brawny Built, Jeff Decker, Denver Dan and the JoMo Racing crew, the Des Moines mafia…
It was great to see people out supporting their mates' racing. It was a long out of town trip for everyone. If you’ve ever raced you’ll know how much it means to have people in the stands.
Much respect to FTW. GI

Vegas Videos

Remember Dale Lineaweaver? He's the guy who built the 50P Ducati flat tracker as well as a bunch of other interesting stuff. Well, I met him at Vegas and he is a nice fella, very helpful and very clever. He sent me a link to some great videos he's made including this one of the main featuring Sammy Halbert - 43 (above, from an earlier non-Vegas altercation), Jake Johnson - 14, Brandan Bergan - 26 and others. In my haste to post something from Vegas I said Jake took out Sammy, but it wasn't him. Anyway, watch Dale Lineaweaver's videos of the Open, Pro and Classic races from Vegas. They're vicious. Thanks Dale. GI

Obscure Face Mask

"Shut Ye Cake Ole!" my Dad used to shout at me. This looks like something he could have invented. The Wolfsnout has got to be the most preposterous bit of motorcycling kit I have ever seen.
- Thanks to DSC for the tip. BP

Geoff at Tulare

From Geoff in California...

'I did the Eddie Mulder series a couple years in a row but the home addition is taking it's toll on my time. My priorities are bit skewed at the moment. Here is a shot of me digging a bit deep at Tulare a couple years back.
The bike is SR 500, nothing to fancy but I love it.'

M and M's goodness

We love M&M's Motorcycles .

Dead Wood

Rubbish as an enduro bike, but this thing has outlasted all my relationships - threatening one of them to be cut short on several occasions (including a punch on the nose from the prospective French father-in-law). 20 rocky years. Once upon a time its chrome was shiny. In 1997 it was my daily commuter in Amsterdam for a year, after several vertebra got hammered together I junked the banana seat and made this sprung saddle by cut'n'shutting a Shovelhead seat, Dutch bicycle saddle springs, and then re-covered in a reversed leather jacket with the suede side out. Never realizing that the rainbow had been appropriated by the gay community, one day I went into a youth hostel that was hanging a rainbow flag outside. I innocently thought 'oh if they are rainbow fans, maybe I can get some rainbow stickers to go with the rainbow pinstripe I already have painted on the tank'. Inside there were a few more clues. La dee dar. I actually enjoy the prehistoric handling (not from other men). And the bumble bees up my trouser legs and sleeves riding position. Don't really know why I signed the 'till death us do part' section of the log book.
Gary and I have been discussing starting up an run what you brung 'Outlaw Class' for chops and bobbers, as part of the UK Short Track series - Any takers? BP

(here you go TC) UPDATE

The Halberts

So, the second night of the Vegas indoor has just finished. I'm going for a drink, but I want to tell you Jethro Halbert won the dash for cash and the main. Sammy was third, Jake Johnson second. Great racing, great event, great people, can't wait to get out on my bike.
In the picture (this crew would give the Addams Family a run for their money) L-R, GI, Jethro, Sammy, Willy (the dad).
