Mutant German Ducati tracker

When Andi sent shots of his Bavarian Honda, he also sent these.

The Ducati was a 350cc Pantah which is now with 750cc and some tuning... The frame is nearly original. It belongs to Manfred Dirschl, called Mane.

GI's new project

These parts are the ones I bought from Jon Racefit for my Suzuki project. It's not directly Sideburn related, but it will appear here every now and then. It's inspired by John's Racefit Monster and Steve Elliott's Spencer Evo. It won't be as nice as either, but it will be cool.
Wheels are Braking by OZ, forks and brakes are GSX-R1000, yokes (triple clamps) are Robby Moto.G

Zaeta Street Bike

Directly from Zaeta's boss, Paolo Chiaia's iPhone. The bike has sailed through its homologation, so they can sell it as a road bike, but there are still a few design tweaks and areas to tidy up.
It no has an Italian TM engine and Italian Paoli forks. Oh, and, I think, an Italian QD exhaust.
This limited production run, fully road legal street tracker will be priced at €13,500 when it goes on sale. GI

Stefano Zattera

Stefano Zattera is a graphic artist, cartoonist and writer from Valdagno, near Vicenza in Italy's far north east. Now in his mid-40s (Zattera, that is, not Baby Burgher, who I doubt survived past toddlerdom), these weird strips date, I believe, from the mid-'90s. Looking at other of his stuff he's well into 1950s nostalgia, noir and horror. Which is good. MP

Gas City Short Track

Gas City short track Expert Main winner, Henry Wiles. The only Kawasaki to make the main. Seems to have picked up Monster sponsorship too.

UPDATE: I've just noticed how much the whole shape of this shot and the style of Henry is like that of Gene at the top of the page. And the shots are only seperated by what, 40 years or so? G
Jared Mees: 1 on his helmet, as he won the twins titles in 09, 21 on his bike, because he didn't win the singles. This year, as I understand it, there will be just one combined champ again.
26: Brandan Bergen (14th in the main). 42: Bryan Smith, didn't make the main.

The Halberts. 69 Jethro and 7 Sammy. Jethro came out on top finishing in 5th, one place ahead of his brother.
Other good news, Brandon Robinson finished 7th, just behind Sammy. His best result since the horror crash at Springfield last year.

The Bultaco Cup went off too. William Snyder won it. Any relation to Jenny Snyder?

We are driving just for fun at our hometown Mühldorf in southern Bavaria on a 1000m Speedway Track.

Tim I kept meaning to email you and say how much I particularly love this shot. There's so much going on. It's so competitive.
There is an optical illusion, in that Joe is bigger (in reality and in the shot) and it looks like he's ahead, but then you notice Shayna (tiny in reality and tucked down small in the shot), her throttle hand is in front, she is definitely ahead - and holding a steady line, whereas Joe has a weave on - was he ahead and got cut up by Shayna steaming through? or is he trying to go around the outside? What was the scenario?
I also like the shallow depth of field that still has the grit spit up pin sharp.
That diagonal white stripe is great graphically too - is it the start / finish line?
And to top it all, some nice blank space for the text, pefect for our Sideburn layout!

Ben, Thanks very much! The photo is from an AMA semi-pro event called the Barbara Fritchie Classic, in Frederick, MD, which is only about 30 miles from my house. It's not part of the Grand National Championship but often a number of the GNC riders will enter.
That shot is the first in a small series (see attached). Shayna was passing Joe at the Start/Finish, and looking at her right wrist you can clearly see how she powered deeper into the corner. The 4th photo is from the succeeding lap, and shows how much ground Shayna gained after making the pass.
