Insane in the membrane
We may have our first SB project street tracker...
GI up to his eyeballs on a commercial deadline, just called me with more pressing issues "...there's this Cagiva Elefant 750, I can get cheap as a trade-in, against my trans-Sahara Benelli TNT...(why swop one odd-ball weirdo for another? I'm thinking out loud)... Yeah I know what you're thinking, but underneath all that plastic, there's a desmo Ducati block, Mikunis, swingarm looks alright, and it's got wire wheels." To be fair this bike had success in its Paris-Dakar incarnation, and hence a considerable production run to public acclaim.
SB#2 featured a Honda Transalp that underwent a full sex-change to become a trophy winner. Can we too carve something worthy from this lump of marble, or are we pissing into the wind? There is an issue here, of a very high headstock, that would handicap full-lock with Flanders bars, but the top rails shouldn't be a problem for Mr Makita.
