I love this retro-styled enduro, ZP Moto 450. GasGas (not Yam, thanks Anthony) engine, RWU forks, steel frame, twin shocks. Inspired by the MZ Six Days bike, like those below.

Loveless HQ

My day job converged with Sideburn's blog universe when I went to Loveless HQ to meet Tim and Dave for Performance Bikes. PB are running a series of features on people's interesting garages or workshops.

Tim's beautiful MZ 250 racer. #51, the age he was when he did his very first motorcycle race. So, all you people who keep telling me you wish short track racing had started in the UK ten years ago, just man up and do it.

Cat got your tongue? Loveless Tim and me. He's a top fella: black belt in something, football fan, punk rocker, bike racer, dad, husband, dog walker and top bike fettler.

Stealing Speed

Mat Oxley is the best bike sport writer working in English. He contributed a Kenny Roberts Story for Sideburn 2, and has just had a book published about the amazing story of Nazi flying bomb engineer, Walter Kaaden, who - through his knowledge of pulse jets - created the two-stroke expansion chamber (as seen on Rainey's bike below). Ernst Degner was Kaaden's rider. Until he defected to Suzuki and changed the course of motorcycle history. I've read some of the book and it's fantastic. Buy it here.
