Re-enactment

This excellent exhibition at The Dray Walk Gallery, Old Truman Brewery, 91 Brick Lane, London E1 6QL, is only on until tomorrow; Sunday 20th Sept. Team SB went to the private view, and had a few. Some superb photography from Ryo Bamba, Nick Clements (who has photos in SB#4), William Gentle, Matt Hind, Neal Reed, and Nathan Small. We finally put faces to names of a lot of people we have been in correspondence with for a long time including Vincent from Southsiders mc all the way from Toulouse. The evening was rounded off with a great curry at Meraz on Hanbury street. Yum. BP

Adrenalin Moto XR1200 Cafe Racer

The new XR1200 is not Sideburn's favourite bike, but it can be redeemed. Our friends at Adrenalin Moto (in England) have done this to theirs. The bodywork (except nose fairing) is all-carbon and exclusive to the company. The under-tank air intakes are bigger than standard.Triple clamps are Free Spirits, pipe is Adrenalin Moto; shocks are Bitubos with Adrenalin Moto adjusters. I've had a spin on it, in the pissing rain, and it rode well, but boy is it tall. It's almost like a BMW GS, especially with that exhaust making it difficult to get your leg down on one side.

Adrenalin Moto stock a ton of XR1200 and Buell parts, plus stuff for Euro and Jap twins (at their Twin Shack business). And they're stocking this new Jewel Racer XR1200 bodywork too.

A Mule in the UK

Not an American Werewolf in London, but an American Mule in Box Hill. I met the owner of this bike, I'm pretty sure, at the Wheels Day a few weeks after issue 1 came out. I don't think he ever got back in touch. These photos were from two blog readers, but I've forgotten who. Sorry fellas. They're forks from a big bore Triumph (Daytona? Early Speed Triple?) Vapor dash. Neat bike. Is the owner out there? G

Champion Yam in the UK

Wow, this is one pretty street tracker destined for UK roads. He can take the front brake lever off and race it too.

'Hi Guys,
Finally got this on two wheels. I am going to finish it in Roberts tribute paint. Should be finished next spring cash permiting. One of only two known to exist in the UK!
Photo attached..er.. I think. Let me know if you get it OK. CHEERS!'

It's turning cold

But we have the answer. Beat the imminent price increase on Indian Girl hooded sweats (modeled here by Rach) and long-sleeves by ordering now.

Anyone attending the BMF UK Short Track meeting, this Saturday or Sunday, who wants Sideburn Merch can order and not pay postage, but I'm not taking much stock (I'm there to race, to win!) so email us your requirements for:

Hooded sweats (red or grey)
Long-sleeves (red or grey)
Gene shirt (black or army green)
One of the last half-dozen Dick Mann shirts (small and medium only)
Or the excellent and in demand Complete Book of Flat track Racing

See all the designs here.
Spectators will find me at the Skooter Farm encampment which is usually at the side of the metal railings. Fellow racers can just follow me round the track, over the finish line and right into my pit gazebo. Cheers GI

Thanks to Steve Red Max for the photo

Marcus Moto Sportster Update

Here are two work-in-progress shots of my Sportster Tracker. I will cut the rear of the steel tailpiece I'm still choosing between two cut lines. The Monza cap will be lowered through the tailpiece. Oil tank in the tailpiece to leave the frame open with just a small central placed battery. I will do a 2-1 system with the XR headers and a shorten Ducati slipon do give a tighter and slimmer look than the massive Supertrapp silencers. The engine and frame will get some attention when all the fabrication is done. Might need to lower the forks or raise the rear shocks. Front and rear light from a 50s Combine! Cheers, Marcus Moto Design. Stockholm

Valentino Rossi

Some bloke called Valentino Rossi has submitted a piece on the joys of riding enduro with mates out in the wilds of the Italian Appenines mountains for SB#4. Photos by renowned National Geographic photographer Alberto Novelli.
Talking of mountains, Gary and I are making steady progress toward the summit of the next issue. Pass me the oxygen, I'm so over excited. BP

Fat Night in Paris

Looks like it's going to be fun. Rock past Fat Club, Paris or Seb's Last Chance Garage blog for updates. GI

Freddie Spencer Evo

Nope, not a dirt tracker, but one of the most detailed specials I've ever seen. Remember the Lakeland Moriwaki Centre? Well this is the kind of bike that comes out of it. GIA Engineering big-tube, anodised alloy frame, 6.75in rear Dymag, Racefit Ti exhaust, Bandit engine, Yoshimura-Mikuni TMR MJN, dual-stack carbs, and, and, and... Amazing bike that wheelies for miles. In this month's PB. GI
